Vintage Mid Century Chinese Four-Panel Lacquered Decorative Folding Screen,1950S

Vintage Chinese four-panel lacquered screen featuring a courtyard scene of women engaged in leisurely activities on one side, and colourful flowers and foliage on the other side.

The panels are lacquered, with soft pastel color pigments, inlayed with carved coloured gemstones that stand out against the black lacquer.

The bottom of each panel is decorated with flowers. Supported by straight legs ending with brass clad feet. It is found in a great vintage condition.

Period: 1950s

Condition: Very good. Some scratches throughout painting.
